Paul and I have moved around A LOT over the years, mainly because of a certain someone's career aspirations... But the pandemic sent us one unexpected blessing: the ability to work from home (something I've done for decades, yet something entirely new for my husband). We suddenly found ourselves armed with the capacity to live and work anywhere. So, given that we were not entirely in love with our circumstances, we decided to take advantage of the sellers' market, rid ourselves of room fulls of furniture, put our most treasured belongings in storage, and set out on an adventure. The goal: To find the next (and hopefully last) place we want to land -- and GET IT RIGHT!

We were fortunate to relocate to Bluffton, SC in the low country region of the state and we love it. But, no sooner did we get settled into our new home, Paul got an opportunity of a lifetime to manage a business integration in Tokyo. So we're off for three to six months, exploring Japan and other Asian countries and cultures. It's a bit of a detour -- but a welcome one! So, I'm rebooting my blog, this time with the sole purpose of sharing our travels and experiences as we navigate foreign lands, languages, delicacies and customs...Enjoy!
